Who we are

HC Recoverys respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and your rights under UK data protection law.

What data we collect

We only collect what we need to recover your vehicle or quote for scrap. We do not sell your data or use ad trackers.

• Phone calls: your number and what you tell us when you ring 07920 619836.
• Texts: if you use the scrap form, your device opens a text with the vehicle, location and number you typed. That message goes to our phone.
• Facebook: if you message the page, Meta handles that data under their policy.
• Cookie choice: saved in your browser so we remember Accept all or Essential only.
• Hosting logs: basic security data from Cloudflare. We do not use it to identify you.

How we use your data

• Cloudflare: hosts this website and keeps security logs.
• Bunny Fonts: only if you accept cookies.
• Facebook: their policy applies when you visit or message the page.
• Your phone’s SMS app: used when you send a scrap quote text.

How long we keep data

• Job and scrap messages: while we need them to finish the job, then as long as business records require.
• Cookie preference: until you clear storage or change your choice.
• Hosting logs: typically 30 to 90 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the ICO.
